Our Commitment to Fair Trade Principles
Our aim is that everyone who is part of creating and selling ethica’s products feels proud of it. We want these products to tell the story of fair trade and here is how that happens.
Our products provide opportunity for the vulnerable and marginalised women in Peru who create them.
Our products illustrate the fairness in our business practices through our long term relationships based on solidarity, trust and mutual respect.
Our products are purchased at a fair price mutually agreed with artisans based on the hours taken to make it and the amount of resources required.
Our products do not use any kind of child labour or forced labour.
Our products are free from discrimination based on ethnicity, gender or any kind.
Our products are produced using safe working conditions that protect the artisan.
Our products are part of a wider commitment to the community through our grants scheme.
Our products advocate for and promote Fair Trade through their packaging and in all that we do.
Our products are kind to the planet. We minimise packaging and try to maximise the use of sustainably sourced raw materials.
