Farewell ethica

Dear ethica friends,

We are reaching out to thank you for your tremendous support over many years and to share an important update regarding our project supporting women artisans in Peru through Fair Trade.

After careful consideration, Mary MacKillop Today, our parent company, has made the difficult decision to close ethica, effective 31 December 2023.

For the past twenty years, ethica has been supporting women in Peru by purchasing high-quality, vibrant products, providing them with a livelihood. Despite many achievements, Mary MacKillop Today is refocusing its efforts in Peru to centre on Leadership, Entrepreneurship and Civil Participation programs.

Every purchase you have made over the years has made a great impact in the lives of the artisans, their families and the community.

For this they are immensely grateful!

Your commitment to Fair Trade has also made a positive change in our world. Your decisions and support have actively helped promote fairness and equality, empowering communities and shaping a more just and sustainable world.

We also appreciate the support and initiative of the Sisters of Saint Joseph who started this project 20 years ago helping those in need.

We carry forward the positive impact and success stories made together in the lives of many Peruvian families. Thank you for being a part of positive change.
